BEIJING, May 21The Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs considers it necessary to deepen cooperation in the field of technical regulation between Russia and China, said the head of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP), Alexander Shokhin.
«The RSPP attaches great importance to the further development of cooperation with China through the EAEU. Thus, with the participation of the RSPP, consultation procedures for the preparation of a Memorandum of Cooperation between the EAEU Business Council and the Chinese Committee for the Promotion of International Trade were completed. It is planned that soon this document will be signed by the parties and on its basis a permanent business dialogue between the EAEU and the PRC will be created,” Shokhin said 
He added that “RSPP also emphasizes the need to deepen cooperation in the field of technical regulation between Russia and China.”
“At the moment, despite a number of efforts taken by government bodies towards reducing trade barriers in a number of industries, industry is still not actively involved in the process of removing technical barriers. In this regard, it is proposed to create a platform on the basis of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, together with interested Chinese industrial associations to develop uniform approaches to reducing trade barriers in certain industries,» Shokhin said.
