MOSCOW, May 22. The Bank of Russia announced the inadmissibility of daily limits for free transfers of citizens to themselves between different banks within the limits of 30 million rubles per month.
«Banks cannot limit the size or number of free transfers per day between a citizen's accounts in different banks within the limits of 30 million rubles, which by law can be transferred without commission,» the regulator said in a statement. 
< br />The law, which allowed Russians to transfer up to 30 million rubles per month between their accounts in different banks without commission, came into force on May 1. This can be done by your account number through mobile applications, or in your personal account on the bank’s website, or by your phone number through the Fast Payment System (FPS).
However, at the beginning of May, the Sberbank call center reported that citizens can transfer free online up to 30 million rubles per month to their accounts in other banks, subject to a daily limit of not more than 2 million rubles.
