Air defense systems shot down several air targets on approach to the village of Belenkoye, said the governor of the Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov. As a result, one local resident died.
According to Gladkov, the deceased man received multiple shrapnel wounds. Another Belenky resident was injured — he had a closed head injury, abrasions and bruises on his face, arms and legs.
In Belenky, after the operation of air defense systems, four houses, three production sites, four cars and a power line were damaged, Gladkov added.
One air target was shot down on approach to the city of Shebekino, the governor says. A woman was injured — she had shrapnel wounds to her arm and leg. Four houses were damaged.
On the morning of May 22, according to Gladkov, an electric train with no passengers was attacked by drones. The railway tracks and contact network were damaged. Train traffic was suspended from Tolokonnoye station to Naumovka station.
At night, air defense systems shot down another drone over Stary Oskol. There are no dead or injured there.
