MOSCOW, May 21.At a plenary session, the State Duma adopted a draft resolution on the early termination of the powers of State Duma deputy Elena Yampolskaya on the basis of her written application for resignation as deputy in connection with her appointment as an adviser to the President of the Russian Federation.
A draft resolution on the early termination of the powers of State Duma deputy and head of the State Duma Committee on Culture Elena Yampolskaya was previously submitted to the State Duma. Russian President Vladimir Putin appointed Yampolskaya as his adviser. Press Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov clarified that she will deal with cultural issues and be involved in the topic of youth policy.
«Let us thank Elena Alexandrovna! A talented, wonderful person, a professional, a very responsible head of the culture committee… On in fact, colleagues, this is a very difficult committee, and in order to succeed in the position of head of such a committee, a lot needs to be done, both working with the community and working with deputies, because all talented people, all creative, but Elena Alexandrovna succeeded. I hope that it will work out in a new responsible position,” said State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin at the plenary session.
The draft proposes that the powers of State Duma deputy Elena Yampolskaya be considered terminated early on the basis of her written application for resignation powers in connection with her appointment as an adviser to the President of the Russian Federation.
The decision to appoint a new head of the State Duma Committee on Culture may be made this week, noted earlier the first deputy head of the State Duma Committee on Culture Alexander Sholokhov.
