MOSCOW, May 22. Acceptance of applications for participation in the selection program for compensation of part of the costs of certification of agricultural products in foreign markets will begin on May 27 at 9.00 (Moscow time), reports the Russian Export Center (part of VEB.RF).
“The acceptance of applications will last until 23.59 (Moscow time) on June 14. This support measure is an important incentive for the growth of the export potential of the Russian agro-industrial complex and strengthening its position in the global agricultural market. Applications will be submitted through the My Export digital platform,” the message says.
The following expenses are subject to compensation: assessment of compliance of agricultural products with requirements in foreign markets, carrying out veterinary, sanitary and phytosanitary measures, transportation, storage, testing and disposal of samples and assessment of product compliance with the requirements of foreign trade contracts, including halal and kosher certification.
“We are opening a second selection in 2024 under a program to compensate part of the costs of certification of agricultural products in foreign markets. We see the effect of this measure of state support and how companies’ investments in obtaining international certificates pay off by expanding sales markets, increasing sales volumes and strengthening reputation of domestic exporters as reliable suppliers of high-quality products,” noted REC Vice President Alexey Solodov.
Support extends to a wide range of agricultural products, including the oil and fat industry, grains, fish and seafood, meat and dairy products, as well as food products and processing industry.
To participate, you must provide documents confirming compliance with the rules for providing state support, including contracts for the provision of services, details of certificates, scanned copies of foreign trade contracts, certificates of completed work and payment orders.
The amount of support for certification of agricultural products can vary from 50% to 90% of the costs incurred in the last 12 months before submitting an application for state support. It depends on the value of the exported products. In addition, the cost of agricultural products supplied by the organization in the last one year before filing an application must be at least five times higher than the requested funding.
The selection of applications will be carried out by the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia until September 15, 2024 ( inclusive).
