The investigation believes that the person involved in the case tried to take another $1.3 million. The major of justice is also accused of exceeding official powers.
According to investigators, ex-investigator senior lieutenant 27-year-old Kristina Lyakhovenko is suspected as an accomplice. A criminal case was opened against her for bribery, abuse of power and falsification of evidence.
According to the case materials, in April 2022, the investigator received money from members of the hacker group Infraud Organization for a promise not to seize the hackers’ assets. Bitcoins were found on Tambiev’s computer in a folder called “Pension”. The person involved in the case and his accomplice do not admit guilt and deny receiving money.
