President Vladimir Putin was presented with the stand of the new Moscow district of SberCity during a visit to the VIII Russian-Chinese EXPO in Harbin. The head of state got acquainted with the concept of a new residential area of Moscow in Rublevo-Arkhangelskoye, accompanied by Deputy Chairman of the People's Republic of China Han Zheng.
SberCity — This is a smart city project of Sberbank in the west of Moscow. During the presentation, guests were presented with the features of the new unique district of Moscow, SberCity, for example, the integrated Smart Home solution, which combines the products of Sber's partner companies and JSC Rublyovo-Arkhangelskoye's own solutions and technologies. The President of the country and the Deputy Chairman of the People's Republic of China were told that SberCity — the first in Russia and the largest territory in the world created according to international standards of green design, where innovations in heat and energy supply, vacuum waste disposal will be presented, green technologies will be tested, solutions of the “smart home” system will be introduced, as well as artificial intelligence in housing and communal services and home management.
Guests were told that SberCity takes into account the concept of energy management, which provides for a reduction in carbon dioxide emissions by 34% by 2030. The project includes the concept of multi-threaded waste sorting — It is planned to install household waste shredders in all apartments. The second component will be an automatic vacuum debris removal system. Residents will place waste into special receptacles (devices), from where it will be transported through a network of underground pipelines to collection points. The length of engineering structures for vacuum waste removal is estimated at 18 km.
The concept of distributed energy centers was also demonstrated to the guests. It is planned that it will be implemented instead of a centralized heating system. Energy sources will be located on the upper floors of buildings, and several houses will be connected to each of them. This will make it possible to abandon the construction of a large boiler house on the territory, main heating networks and high-rise chimneys.
The first residents of SberCity will appear in June 2024. The development area is 461 hectares, the full implementation of the project is planned to be completed by 2032. On the territory there will be two clinics, a geriatric residence, 16 kindergartens and 8 schools, a branch of the country's leading university and the campus of Sber's digital technology school «Schools 21».
