MOSCOW, May 24. The Dallas Stars were defeated in the first game of the Western Conference playoff final series of the National Hockey League (NHL) against the Edmonton Oilers.
The meeting, which took place in Dallas, ended with the guests winning in the second overtime with a score of 3:2 (0:0, 2:1, 0:1, 1:0). For Edmonton, Leon Draisaitl (21st minute) and Zach Hyman (25th minute) scored goals in regulation time. The winning goal in the second overtime was scored by Connor McDavid (81). Tyler Seguin scored a double for the home team (27, 57).
Russian forward of “Dallas” Evgeny Dadonov scored an assist.
The score in the series up to four wins became 1-0 in favor of Edmonton. The second match of the confrontation will take place in Dallas on the night of May 26, Moscow time.
