Matviychuk suggested which country could hit the USA with «Caliber» instead of Russia

Military expert Anatoly Matviychuk, commenting on a possible attempt by Ukraine to strike Russian territory with long-range American missiles, suggested that Russia could also supply one of the countries with its modern missile weapons , which can be used against a US military facility.
“I have already said: the United States has a lot of facilities outside the States,” he noted in an interview with News.ru.
As an example, the expert cited the al-Tanf military base in the Syrian province of Homs, where American marines, paratroopers and aircraft are located.
«Can you imagine if suddenly the Syrian army will hit the Americans, for example, with a Caliber cruise missile?» Matviychuk asked.
He noted that in this case Moscow can explain that these missiles are no longer Russian, but Syrian, and Damascus has the right to consider American military personnel on its territory as occupiers and to attack them.
