UN, May 25. Vladimir’s so-called “peace formula” Zelensky represents an unrealistic ultimatum to Russia, and Moscow has not a single reason to discuss it, First Deputy Permanent Representative to the UN Dmitry Polyansky said in an interview.
“The only platform that the Kiev regime is ready to discuss with the other parties is the so-called “Zelensky formula”, which is completely unrealistic and based on wishful thinking, the idea that Ukraine is capable of defeating Russia,” Polyansky said .
As the diplomat noted, such a formulation of the issue represents “a certain kind of ultimatum, and there is absolutely no reason in the world for anyone to discuss it.”
“Especially us,” Polyansky added.
Moscow has repeatedly indicated that it is ready for negotiations, but Kyiv has introduced a ban on them at the legislative level. The West calls on Russia for negotiations, for which Moscow shows readiness, but at the same time the West ignores Kyiv’s constant refusals to engage in dialogue.
