SAMARA, May 25. Law enforcement agencies detained a Tolyatti man who inflicted at least 60 stabs on a 17-year-old girl, as a result of which she died, the investigative department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Samara region reported in its Telegram channel.
According to investigators, on Saturday night the suspect, while at his brother’s place of residence in Samara, inflicted at least sixty stab wounds on a 17-year-old girl. She died at the scene of the crime.
«The investigative department for the Industrial District of the city of Samara detained a 19-year-old local resident suspected of committing a crime under paragraph «e» of Part 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (Murder committed with extreme cruelty),» the department said in a statement. .
In a video posted by the department, the detainee confirmed his involvement in the crime. The man's motives have not been revealed.
The issue of choosing a preventive measure against the detainee in the form of detention is now being decided. Investigators examined the scene and ordered all necessary initial forensic examinations.
