MELITOPOL, May 26. Since 2022, instructors at the schools of unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) operators of the Archangel project have trained more than a thousand Russian military personnel in operating reconnaissance and attack FPV drones or improved their skills work with this type of UAV, an instructor at a branch of the school operating in the Zaporozhye region, including for military personnel of the Dnepr group of troops, with the call sign “Maloy,” told reporters.
«Since 2022, more than a thousand UAV pilots have been trained… An experienced pilot of an attack FPV drone can independently make a decision to hit enemy targets, based on the situation. The situation changes every time. Take, for example, the choice between a mortar or (if ) the tank will enter the position. It’s better to hit the tank, that is, moving targets — the mortar will not go anywhere,” the instructor said.
According to him, the course at the school takes three weeks, during which a soldier can be trained from scratch to a specialist in the use of FPV equipment.
