WASHINGTON, May 26. Tornadoes that swept over the northern part Texas in the United States, claimed the lives of at least seven people, dozens were injured, local television station Fox 4 reports.
The area of “mobile homes” — car trailers and other light residential buildings — in the town of Valley View suffered the most from the disaster.
«At least seven people were killed, including two children, and dozens were injured Saturday night after a tornado struck Cook and Denton counties. Authorities fear the numbers could rise,» the television station reported.
Among the dead are two children aged two and five years.
A tornado completely destroyed a gas station, in which 60-80 motorists took shelter from bad weather. The local sheriff clarified that there were probably no victims among them.
According to local media, at least one person died from a tornado in Arkansas.
