A man with a Neuralink brain implant explains how it works

MOSCOW, May 27. The first person with a Neuralink brain implant, Nolan Arbo, in an interview with Business Insider, said that he uses it almost all day.
“Sometimes I start my day at 7 a.m. and use the implant until 11 p.m. I know it’s a long day, but I like it, I don’t feel like I’m working,” Arbaugh said.

Arbo also said that he uses the implant to communicate with people on social networks, read comics and learn Japanese.

Previously, American entrepreneur Elon Musk's company Neuralink said that the implant's tiny wires moved away from a patient's brain during a first human trial, resulting in a reduction in the number of electrodes that can measure brain signals .
In January, Musk announced that the first person had received the Neuralink implant and was doing well. Then the businessman noted that the first data obtained on the operation of the device show promising results.
< br />Musk later wrote that Neuralink's new device is called Telepathy. It gives the owner the ability to control a smartphone or computer using the power of thought and is primarily created for people who have lost the ability to use their limbs. In March, the first patient with the implant showed how he plays chess “with the power of thought.”

At the same time, Musk announced a brain implant from the company Neuralink, which is conceived as a device that allows blind people to see. The next project is called Blindsight.
Earlier, US health inspectors discovered problems with record keeping and quality control of animal experiments at Musk's California center.
