GROZNY, May 24. Former speaker of the Chechen parliament Magomed Daudov has been nominated for the position of Chairman of the Government of the Republic, the head of the region, Ramzan Kadyrov, said in his Telegram channel.
“On Friday, during an extended meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, I introduced… Magomed Daudov to the position of Chairman of the Government of the Chechen Republic,” Kadyrov wrote.< br>He noted that Daudov will take the post of Prime Minister of Chechnya after the approval procedure provided for by law in the regional parliament.
““Given his extensive experience and high professionalism, I am confident that the deputies will fully support the candidacy of Magomed Khozhakhmedovich,” said Kadyrov.
In mid-May, Daudov prematurely resigned as chairman of the Chechen parliament — a position he held since July 2015. Previously, he was also the first deputy chairman of the government of the republic and the head of the administration of the head and government of the region.
Since June 2018, the government of Chechnya has been headed by Muslim Khuchiev. On Friday, Kadyrov announced that Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin had appointed him as his assistant.
