MOSCOW, May 26. The concert of American singer Nicki Minaj in British Manchester was postponed at the last minute due to the detention of the performer in the Netherlands, the Daily Mail newspaper reports.
The NL Times portal previously reported that Nicki Minaj was allegedly arrested at Amsterdam airport on suspicion of drug possession. Later, Agence France-Presse reported that the Dutch police released the singer after paying a fine. It was noted that soft drugs were found in her luggage.
«Nicki Minaj's concert at the Co-op Live arena in Manchester was postponed after she was detained in Amsterdam. Fans were furious after they waited for several hours and were allowed into the concert venue before «Today's show was canceled at the last minute,» the publication said.
According to the newspaper, hundreds of fans queuing at the entrance to the concert hall, hoping that the singer would fly to Britain for the concert, chanted “free Nicki Minaj.”
As the publication writes, the Co-op Live arena is the largest indoor arena in Britain. The capacity of the hall is 23.5 thousand people, all tickets for the concert were sold out.
