Roskomnadzor blocked the Compromat.Ru website with information about politicians, officials, famous security officials and other public people. The Roskomsvoboda project, which monitors blockages, drew attention to this.
Access to the resource was limited at the request of an “unspecified authority.” As Roskomsvoboda notes, it is highly likely that we are talking about the Prosecutor General’s Office. The reason for the blocking is not specified. According to the project, access was limited by “mask” — to all domains and subdomains of the site.
The Kompromat.ru project has existed since December 1999. In 2014 and 2017, Roskomnadzor already limited access to the websites Kompromat.Ru and Compromat.Ru, but after that the blocking was lifted. For the first time, complaints from the supervisory authority were caused by an article about the head of the Belgorod police department, Viktor Pesterev. The second time, the reason was material about the criminal records of the owners of Guta Bank.
