MOSCOW, May 31. President Vladimir Putin invited the Chairman of the Government of the Tula Region, Vyacheslav Fedorishchev, to head the Samara Region.

“I want to invite you to work in Samara, in the Samara Region,” the head of state said at a meeting with the official.

As the president noted, there are many areas of work in the region, and Fedorishchev gained good experience in the Tula region.

"I hope that you will use all the best that you have managed to develop over the years in your first position . “This is still a different job, a greater level of responsibility,” Putin added.

Fedorishchev thanked him in response and promised that he would not let him down. According to him, the Samara region is a very strong industrial region and he wants to get to know it from the inside and prepare a program of advanced development. In doing so, he intends to rely primarily on the opinions of people.

Later on the website of the official publication of legal acts, a presidential decree appeared on the removal of Dmitry Azarov from the post of governor of the Samara region at his own request and the appointment of the acting head of the region Vyacheslav Fedorishchev.

Fedorishchev, who in July will celebrate his 35th anniversary, becoming the youngest head of the region in Russia. Now the symbolic club of governors under 40 includes three more: 36-year-old governor of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug Dmitry Artyukhov, 36-year-old head of Khakassia Valentin Konovalov and 38-year-old governor of the Omsk region Vitaly Khotsenko.

Governor of Samara region, Dmitry Azarov announced today that he is leaving his post. He did not specify his future plans.
