MOSCOW, May 31. Mandatory labeling of certain types of canned food, vegetable oils and non-alcoholic beer begins in Russia from September 1, 2024, follows from the regulations government available.
“To establish that participants in the circulation of certain types of edible vegetable oils and fatty products in accordance with the rules approved by this resolution: submit to the state information system for monitoring the circulation of goods subject to mandatory labeling by means of identification an application for registration in the information monitoring system starting from September 1, 2024 year,» says one of the documents. 
Similar information is contained in the resolution on the labeling of canned products, as well as in the document on non-alcoholic beer.
Thus, the introduction of labels in these categories will take place in several stages. From September 1, 2024, mandatory registration of participants in the turnover in the “Honest Sign” marking system begins. Companies producing and importing non-alcoholic beer will begin labeling their products from October 1. Information on retail sales, including bottling sales, must be provided to the system from April 1, 2025. And data on the withdrawal of non-alcoholic beer from circulation for other reasons, for example, write-off for own needs, must be provided from March 1, 2026.
Manufacturers and importers of vegetable oils and fat-and-oil products in glass and plastic packaging will begin applying markings from October 1, 2024. For such products in other types of packaging — from February 1, 2025. Information on the withdrawal of products from circulation must be transferred to the marking system from November 1, 2025.
At the same time, from December 1, 2024, labeling must appear on packages of canned fish and seafood products. From the same date, manufacturers of these products must send information about the introduction of goods into circulation into the labeling system.
Companies producing and importing canned meat, meat by-products, vegetables and fruits, mushrooms and berries must begin labeling products from March 1, 2025. Farmers producing canned products are included in the labeling system from March 1, 2026. Information regarding the withdrawal of products from circulation must be provided from October 1, 2026.
