Russian First Channel has resumed broadcasting in Armenia

Broadcasting of the Russian First Channel has been resumed in Armenia, News.am reports the words of the Armenian Minister of High-Technological Industry Mkhitar Hayrapetyan.

“Since January, when I assumed the post of Minister of High-Technological Industry, we have held several meetings with the heads of Armenian television companies operating within a public multiplex. We have communicated to everyone that we are ready to take care of them through various mechanisms. However, there is one red line for us: “This is money paid to the Armenian television and radio broadcasting network,” he explained the decision to stop broadcasting.

As Interfax reports, Hayrapetyan noted that “the next day Channel One fully paid off the debt. Broadcasting has been resumed.»

The minister added that the debt amounted to 2.5 million drams — about $6.5 thousand.
