The Primorsky Regional Court acquitted in the case about the rehabilitation of Nazism of Vladivostok resident Alexei Chernyansky, reports the SOVA research center. The OPS-Media publication calls him the brother of the judge of this court. Elena Chernyanskaya works at the Primorsky Regional Court. Her alleged brother's case was heard by a different judge.
According to OPS-Media, the case against Chernyansky was opened because on February 23, 2022, he sent an image of a serviceman to a garage cooperative group on WhatsApp Russian Liberation Army with the words: «So is it okay if I congratulate you?»
According to Chernyansky, the reason for initiating the case was a denunciation by an officer of the Pacific Higher Naval School (TOVVMU). He explained to the court that the officer congratulated the chat participants on February 23 with a photo of Admiral Alexander Kolchak — and Chernyansky responded with an image of a «Vlasovite».
In his final statement, the man said that he himself studied at the TOVVMU, and, in his opinion, «a Russian officer does not resolve his personal issues with the help of the FSB and such reports.» Chernyansky did not admit guilt.
The criminal case of the Vladivostok resident was sent to court in August 2023, but later it was returned to the prosecutor, the return was canceled and sent back to the regional court. In November, Chernyansky's case was transferred to another court, and in January 2024 it was again sent to the Primorsky Regional Court, where his sister works.
