Mikhail Krieger, an activist of the Solidarity movement, was sent to a punishment cell for the first time in Oryol's IK-5. His daughter Ekaterina told SOTAvision about this.
According to her, the reason for placing him in a punishment cell was that the prisoner lay down on a made bed at the wrong time. He has already been released from the punishment cell. «He said that he had a good time: he read Pikul's «From the Dead End», he managed to read the whole book,» said Ekaterina Krieger.
In May 2023, Krieger was sentenced to seven years in prison in the case of justification of terrorism and incitement of hatred with the threat of violence. According to the prosecution, the activist attempted to take the lives of FSB officers and called for Vladimir Putin to be hanged. Krieger's associates said that his posts and comments on Facebook were the reason for the case.
In his final statement, the activist said that he dreams of living to see «Putin hanged» and called the posts he is accused of only a reason for persecution. According to Krieger, he was convicted for his «anti-war, and now openly pro-Ukrainian position,» which he does not hide.
