KALININGRAD, June 2 The investigative department of the Russian Investigative Committee for the Kaliningrad region opened a criminal case on the fact that 33 people contracted salmonellosis after consuming products from a healthy food delivery company, reports press service of the regional IC.
On Friday, the authorities of the Kaliningrad region reported an outbreak of salmonellosis in the region; within 24 hours, 15 people who had previously ordered healthy food products from the “Delivery of healthy nutrition in the Kaliningrad region Musli39” contacted doctors; on Sunday, the regional Rospotrebnadzor reported that the number of victims had increased to 33, including one child and one teenager, 21 patients are receiving treatment in an infectious diseases hospital. 
“In the investigation department for the Leningrad district of the city of Kaliningrad of the regional department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, a criminal case was initiated under Part 1 of Article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (provision of services that do not meet the requirements for the safety of life and health of consumers). As part of the investigation, a full range of investigative actions are being carried out aimed at establishing all the circumstances what happened,» the statement said.
According to the press service of the regional prosecutor's office, the department also began an investigation into information about the mass poisoning of citizens.
“The prosecutor’s office of the Kaliningrad region is conducting an inspection based on information about group morbidity among citizens. According to preliminary information, 33 people who consumed food products from a nutrition delivery company were diagnosed with an intestinal infection,” the press service reports. 
< br />Earlier, specialists from the Rospotrebnadzor department for the Kaliningrad region inspected the enterprise. Gross violations of sanitary legislation were revealed in terms of storage of products, conditions of their preparation, violation of technological processes, sanitary maintenance of the catering unit, and washing dishes. Specialists of the sanitary and epidemiological service reported that persons who do not have medical records and have not undergone a medical examination were involved in the preparation of products and their delivery.
The regional Ministry of Health and the Rospotrebnadzor department appealed to residents of the Kaliningrad region who ordered products from the Musli39 catering company with a request that if symptoms of the disease appear — a sharp increase in temperature, abdominal pain, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting — to immediately seek medical attention help.
