KALININGRAD, June 1 Voting in the gubernatorial election Kaliningrad region and deputies of district councils will be held over three days from September 6 to 8, the regional election commission reports in its Telegram channel.
«It has just been decided that voting in the elections scheduled for a single voting day on September 8 will be take place over three days — September 6, 7 and 8,» the message says.
On June 1, the decision of the regional legislative assembly to call early elections for the governor of the Kaliningrad region was officially published on a single voting day.
«In September, voting will take place in the election of the highest official, and municipal elections will also be held in the region. The main elections of deputies of district councils will be held in the Ozersky, Svetlovsky and Yantarny districts. In the Baltiysky, Gvardeysky, Ladushkinsky, Polessky and Pravdinsky districts there will be additional elections deputies. In total, voters in eight municipalities will have to elect 46 deputies to district councils,” reports the regional election commission.
Previously, Russian President Vladimir Putin appointed Alexei Besprozvannykh as acting governor of the Kaliningrad region. Anton Alikhanov, who resigned as head of the region, became the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation.
