MOSCOW, June 1. Press Secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov and his wife, Olympic champion Tatyana Navka, came to say goodbye to Honored Artist of the Russian Federation Anastasia Zavorotnyuk.
He brought a bouquet of white roses. After saying goodbye, they went to venerate the relics of Matrona of Moscow.

“She was a wonderful woman, a wonderful mother, a wonderful wife. She was a courageous woman because she fought the disease for a long time,” Peskov said about Zavorotnyuk during the ceremony.
Zavorotnyuk died in Thursday at the age of 53 after a long illness. The farewell ceremony takes place at the Intercession Monastery in Moscow.
Navka performed in an ice show with her husband Zavorotnyuk, figure skater Pyotr Chernyshov. Part of the proceeds from ticket sales went to Zavorotnyuk’s treatment. 
On Hundreds of people came to the farewell ceremony for Zavorotnyuk. Among them are the singer Lolita, Edgard Zapashny, Gennady Khazanov and others.
Mourning wreaths were sent to the funeral by journalists Andrei Malakhov, Alexander Mitroshenkov, the Olympic sports complex, and the Union of Cinematographers of Russia.
After farewell, the actress will be buried at the Troekurovsky cemetery. A source familiar with the situation previously clarified that the burial site will be located next to People’s Artist Vadim Abdrashitov.

Anastasia Zavorotnyuk was born on April 3, 1971 in Astrakhan. She became famous for her role as nanny Vicky in the television series My Fair Nanny. The actress also starred in such films as “Mashenka”, “Apocalypse Code”, “Office Romance. Our Time”. In 1993-2004, Zavorotnyuk played at the Oleg Tabakov Theater. She performed roles in the plays «The Bumbarash Passion» (Varya), «An Ordinary Story» (Nadya), «Biloxi Blues» (Dezzy), «Sailor's Silence» (Tanya), «The Myth of Don Juan» (Zhanette), “Farewell… and applaud” (Marina), “Confessions of the adventurer Felix Krul” (Elinor Twentyman) and others. In 2006, Zavorotnyuk was awarded the title “Honored Artist of the Russian Federation.”
In 2019, the actress was diagnosed with glioblastoma. She stopped appearing at social events and running social networks. Her daughter Anna occasionally talked about how she was feeling on her blog. She also confirmed the death of her mother.
