The SUV has changed on the outside, acquired the “surname” Ultra and new equipment. In addition, the model received a more capacious battery.
In its native China, the five-meter hybrid crossover AITO M7 launched in 2022. The AITO brand, we recall, is a joint project of Seres and Huawei (stands for Adding Intelligence to Auto). In 2023, dealers established “parallel” deliveries of the “Seven” to Russia, and this year we began legal sales of a large SUV – already under the Seres brand (by the way, Kolesa.ru tested the SUV, details are in our material). In the Middle Kingdom, the cross has just undergone a planned update, simultaneously receiving the “surname” Ultra, because the pre-reform M7 is not going to retire yet.

The front part of the crossover was redesigned: instead of a massive radiator grille, there is now a monolithic bumper panel. Wheels of a different design have also appeared (standard are 20-inch, 21-inch are available for an additional fee), and the palette of body colors has been replenished with a new shade.

In addition, the AITO M7 now has a lidar by default (it is not provided for the initial versions of the pre-reform model), and it is new, with an increased range — like the older M9 SUV. The dimensions have not changed: length – 5020 mm, width – 1945, height – 1760 mm, wheelbase – 2820 mm.
The interior is generally the same, except that there are new color schemes. Well, multimedia has also become faster (tablet with a diagonal of 15.6 inches). The AITO M7 Ultra is still available with five or six seats. The list of standard equipment has been expanded: in particular, all versions now have a head-up display, auto-braking and lane-keeping systems. The base also has a 10.25-inch virtual instrument panel, a panoramic sunroof, all-round cameras, heating, ventilation and a seat massager, and adaptive cruise control. For an additional fee, you can order separate screens for passengers.

As before, the AITO M7 is equipped with a 1.5 petrol turbo engine, which is not connected to the wheels and only works like a battery generator. A 272-horsepower electric motor is installed on the rear axle of the “simple” versions; in all-wheel drive SUVs, an electric motor with a power of 177 hp is also located at the front. The battery is new, with a capacity of 42 kWh (the pre-reform crossover had a 40 kWh battery), although the SUV has not become longer-range: on electric power alone, a rear-wheel drive M7 will travel 200 km on the WLTC cycle, an all-wheel drive – 175 km.
For AITO M7 Ultra they are asking 289,800 — 329,800 yuan, which is equivalent to approximately 3.6 million — 4 million rubles at the current exchange rate. The pre-reform crossover costs from 269,800 yuan (3.3 million rubles).
