KAZAN, June 4 A tower crane fell at an abandoned construction site in the Nizhny Novgorod region due to strong gusts of wind, the regional State Emergency Service of the Russian Federation reported.
«Firefighters and rescuers of Kstov are eliminating the consequences of wind gusts. A rusty tower crane at an abandoned construction site, a pole and 11 trees could not withstand short-term gusts of wind,» the message says. 
< br />Also, according to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, nine cars were damaged. Residents were not injured.
Rescuers from the Kstov rescue squad and fire and rescue units of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations were involved in sawing down the fallen trees.
