In the Butyrsky District Court of Moscow, Kirill Trokhin, a senior investigator for the investigation of especially important cases, was questioned in the case of 20-year-old Muscovite Alina Nevmyanova, who is accused of obstructing the exercise of electoral rights (clause «b» of part 2 of article 141 of the Criminal Code) — because on March 15 she poured green paint into the ballot box. After this questioning, prosecutor Ivan Mishchenko asked to conduct a procedural investigation against the investigator. This was reported by a Mediazona correspondent from the courtroom.
«Glory to Ukraine, Alina!» A 20-year-old Muscovite told the court how she was convinced to pour green paint into the ballot box
The investigator tried to refute the testimony of Nevmyanova herself and prosecution witness Natalya Markitan, who at the last meeting reported that the investigator gave her blank forms to sign and then composed her testimony himself.
During interrogation in court, investigator Trokhin said that he was the “election investigator on duty” and therefore took on this case. According to his version, he interrogated Natalya Markitan on March 17 at the polling station in school No. 962 — the chairwoman of the PEC took him to a separate office, “not a classroom, but where there were tables and computers,” and there he wrote down the interrogation report in front of her. Trokhin clarified that he kept the protocols of interrogations of witnesses in this case by hand, “because I didn’t have the equipment with me.”
The investigator insisted that he did not put pressure on Markitan and did not falsify the protocol of her interrogation: “We both are civil servants, both with higher education.»
Clean slates. The chairman of the election commission at the trial about the green stuff in the ballot box said that the investigator falsified her testimony
At the last meeting, Markitan also said that the case materials falsely stated that she provided investigators with a video recording of what happened at the polling station. Today the investigator had to admit that it was not Markitan who provided the disc with the recording, but he insisted that it was at her request that he added the disc to the case on her behalf. This is not recorded in any way in the case.
Answering the question why the witness claims that the protocol of her interrogation was falsified, the investigator replied: “I can’t know, I don’t even have any assumptions. I insist that everything was in her presence, it was given to her to read.”
Investigator Trokhin also rejected all claims of Alina Nevmyanova herself and her defenders. At the first hearing in the case, the accused said that the investigator brought her a lawyer, who persuaded her to admit guilt. Trokhin said that it was a government lawyer on an application that he could not influence in any way.
Lawyers Igor Mikheev and Valery Fokin noted that this defender got acquainted with all the volumes of the case in four minutes.
“This is a human right,” Trokhin answered calmly.
— In four minutes?!
— Have any comments been received on the protocol?
Trokhin also said that the investigation separated into separate proceedings the case of “unidentified persons”, in collusion with whom the investigation suspects Nevmyanova. At the same time, they did not initiate a case of fraud at the girl’s request.
Then Nevmyanova’s lawyers drew attention to the fact that the accused’s phones were included in the case, but the investigator examined only their appearance; he did not read the correspondence and look at the call history became, although Nevmyanova herself unlocked the devices and talked about calls from scammers who convinced her to transfer money to them and then pour brilliant green into the ballot box.
After that, lawyer Mikheev asked whether the fraudsters Nevmyanova was talking about and the «unidentified persons» the Investigative Committee was investigating could be the same people.
«Different people called her and introduced themselves to her in different ways. I could not give an accurate assessment that they were the same people,» the investigator calmly answered.
Then prosecutor Ivan Mishchenko asked to conduct a procedural investigation against the investigator based on the circumstances of the testimony of witness Markitan.
«The said investigation will take several weeks,» the prosecutor smiled and asked to extend Nevmyanova's arrest for three months.
Judge Glera Dosayeva granted prosecutor Ivan Mishchenko's motion to extend Alina Nevmyanova's arrest until September 19 — while a procedural investigation is being conducted against investigator Kirill Trokhin, the girl will continue to be held in a pretrial detention center.
A hearing will be held on June 18 to announce the results of the investigation into the actions of investigator Trokhin.
