MOSCOW, June 4 The Tverskoy Court of Moscow arrested two women who defaced the monument to commander Georgy Zhukov on Manezhnaya Square in Moscow, the court reported.
“The court granted the investigation’s requests to choose a preventive measure in the form of detention in relation to V.N. Nikolaeva and A.V. Lysenkova,” said the agency’s interlocutor.
< br />As a source previously reported, two women on Monday spray-painted the inscription “GUR” on the monument to Marshal Zhukov on Manezhnaya Square.

A criminal case has been opened, the perpetrators face up to five years in prison.
