The Investigative Committee opened a criminal case on extremism (Article 282 of the Criminal Code) against a Moscow taxi driver who threw participants of the war in Ukraine out of the car. The press service of the department reported this.
The security forces also claim that the man “spoke negatively about <…> participants of a special military operation.»
According to Regnum, the taxi driver is a citizen of Kyrgyzstan, and the conflict occurred on the night of June 2. Disembarked passengers claim that the driver suddenly stopped the car on the Moscow Ring Road when he heard them talking about the war and the terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall. After the participants in the invasion of Ukraine refused to leave the car, the taxi driver allegedly ran out onto the roadway and called his colleagues for help.
The driver himself said that he dropped the men off because he was afraid for his own safety. According to him, the war participants were drunk and behaved inappropriately. During the trip they changed the payment method.
“They initially ordered a taxi using a card. It was necessary to travel about 100 km. But during the trip [the clients] changed payment to cash. I said that I wouldn’t go for cash,” the taxi driver told Regnum.
After this, the passengers, according to the driver, began to “bully” at him. “Two got out of the car, one opened my door. I also got out of the car. They started pushing me. One hit me in the back. This is the first time I've encountered this. What was I supposed to do?!” — the taxi driver told reporters.
In addition, according to the driver, the passengers “tried to take him to the nearest forest.” After the conflict, he called the police himself.
