KEMEROVO, June 6The number of victims in the collision of two trams in Kemerovo has increased to 125, according to a message from the acting governor of Kuzbass Ilya Seredyuk in his Telegram channel.
It was reported that early in the morning two trams collided on Logovaya Highway in Kemerovo. According to operational data, 109 people were injured, including seven children. One man died. A criminal case was initiated in the regional Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee under Part 2 of Art. 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (provision of services that do not meet the requirements for the safety of life or health of consumers). The regional prosecutor's office organized its own inspection and took control of the progress of the criminal investigation. Later, the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the region reported that a second criminal case under Part 3 of Art. 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Violation of traffic rules and operation of vehicles.”
«As of 20:00 (16.00 Moscow time), 21 people remain in Kuzbass hospitals. The condition of four is assessed as serious, the rest — of moderate and mild severity. Doctors sent 101 victims, including 10 children, to outpatient treatment. Three more people are being examined by doctors, and if necessary, they will also be hospitalized,” wrote the acting governor of Kuzbass, Ilya Seredyuk.
He noted that the family of the deceased will be provided with all the necessary assistance.
