A court in Khakassia banned a website offering killer services

The Beysky District Court of Khakassia, at the request of the prosecutor, banned a website advertising the services of a killer. This was reported by the press service of the court.

In May 2024, the prosecutor found two websites through which you can order a murder — killproffi.xyz and naemnik.in. The court banned only the first, considering that it “facilitates the commission of crimes by citizens” under articles on hooliganism and encroachment on the life of a state or public figure (Articles 213 and 277 of the Criminal Code).

The court recognized the information on the site as extremist and sent its decision to Roskomnadzor to block it. He also decided that free access to this site could lead to a “violation of public interests” of Russia and “the rights of an indefinite number of persons.”

The site suggests “collecting a debt,” “ordering a beating, making someone disabled,” “buying poison,” and “arson to order.” For murders, the site’s authors ask for 170 thousand rubles—that’s how much an “accident” costs. The most expensive service—“killing with poison,” which allegedly “leaves no traces in the body”—costs from 400 thousand rubles.

In 2017, the Krasnoyarsk prosecutor’s office found a website with the ability to order a murder, and it was also banned. In 2013, at the request of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, a website called “Order a killer” was blocked, which contained a proposal for “transportation to the forest.” Another similar site was banned by a court in St. Petersburg in November 2023.
