Orban: settlement of the Ukrainian conflict may occur after elections in the US and EU
It will be possible to count on a settlement of the Ukrainian conflict after peace-loving forces win the elections to the European Parliament (EP) and the US President. This statement was made by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban while talking to reporters at a polling station after voting in the elections to the European Union.
“This can be achieved in two steps,” the Hungarian prime minister noted, answering the question of when we can wait for the establishment of peace in Ukraine.
He clarified that the first step is the election of the European Parliament, the second is the election of the US President this year.
In addition, the Hungarian Prime Minister added that very closely followed election campaigns in France, Germany and other European Union (EU) countries. He saw that the question of war and peace had come to the forefront there. Orbán believes that this is a “pan-European issue.”
