
CHELYABINSK, June 9 Energy workers have restored power supply in the villages of the Agapovsky district in the Chelyabinsk region, which was disrupted on Saturday evening after the disaster struck, reported on Sunday, the press service of PJSC Rosseti Ural.
As reported by the head of the Agapovsky district, Artem Yakhimovich, on the evening of June 8, a tornado and hail hit the outskirts of the Magnitny and Chernigovsky settlements, as a result of the disaster, a number of road sections were flooded, power lines were knocked down — the villages of Magnitny, Subutak, Alekseevsky, Kirovsky were left without electricity. «Rosseti Ural power engineers worked at night to return light to the homes of South Urals residents as soon as possible… Power supply to consumers in part of the Agapovsky district of the Chelyabinsk region, interrupted by the disaster, has been restored,» the message says.
Nine teams consisting of 37 people and 19 units of special equipment were involved in the restoration work, the message states. 10 backup power supply sources with a total capacity of 1450 kW were sent to the zone of technological disruption, the message adds.
