ST. PETERSBURG, June 7 Press -Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov said that partial restrictions on events with the participation of the president, related to the need to take tests for infections, in particular Covid and ARVI, are necessary, but they should not be of a restrictive nature.
The Russian leader’s press secretary confirmed at a briefing that the restrictions cause discomfort to the staff of the presidential administration in their daily work, but the majority in the head of state’s office comes to the point of view that “global testing” and some restrictions are the right decision.
«It's no longer a matter of Covid. Does the president need to suffer from ARVI or the flu at such a moment? It's better to take care of it. That is, some restrictions will definitely remain. Another thing is that they should not be restrictive,» — Peskov noted.
He said that employees of the presidential administration are sometimes forced to miss events with the participation of the head of state due to the fact that their children “bring ARVI from school,” which is immediately detected during testing. “I’ve had this happen a couple of times myself,” Peskov added.
According to the president's press secretary, such precautions are necessary, but they should not be of a restrictive nature.
“Some kind of regime, I think, will still be preserved,” Peskov summed up.
