A two-meter rare «sunfish» washed ashore in the USA
Residents of the American state of Oregon saw a Mola tecta fish washed ashore on Earhart Beach, the length of which was 2.2 meters.
Fish of the genus Mola are called «moon fish» or «sun fish» because of their large size and round shape. Mola tecta live in the southern hemisphere; they are rarely found in the northern, said biologist Marianne Newgard, cited by phys.org.

Mola tecta is larger but thinner than other species of the genus. Some individuals reach 3 meters in length and weigh up to 2 tons.
