MOSCOW, June 10 Deputy General Director of Russian Railways Alexey Shilo may move to the post of Deputy Minister of Transport of Russia, the RBC newspaper claims, citing two sources in the transport market and a source close to the Ministry of Transport.
As several interlocutors told the newspaper, Shilo will probably oversee railway transport issues instead of the current Deputy Minister Valentin Ivanov, who will allegedly be promoted to First Deputy Minister, and the current First Deputy Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation Andrei Kostyuk will leave the department.
“The decision is in the process of formalization,” the newspaper quotes one of the interlocutors. Another RBC interlocutor noted that he does not know when exactly the appointments will take place.
The publication also notes that at the time of publication, the Ministry of Transport and Russian Railways did not respond to his requests. In addition, the request was sent to the government press service, and the representative of the Russian Minister of Transport Roman Starovoit refused to comment.
