The Investigative Committee opened criminal cases against 25 people declared by the Ministry of Justice as “foreign agents” due to the lack of markings in the posts. The press service of Roskomnadzor reported this to TASS employees.
In total, as representatives of the regulatory body said, they provided the security forces with information about 45 “foreign agents who systematically violated the requirements for labeling materials.” In addition, this year Roskomnadzor has already drawn up 180 protocols on people from the Ministry of Justice register who do not put badges on their posts.
Currently there are 606 positions in the list of “foreign agents”. A significant number of “foreign agents” are located outside of Russia. Criminal cases against such people are obviously futile. Since part 2 of Article 330.1 of the Criminal Code faces no more than two years of imprisonment, the accused cannot be put on the international wanted list, arrested in absentia, or tried in absentia.
