The Siberian Express publication and the Biysk 22 public page on VKontakte published a video in which a man “very similar” to the head of Sberbank German Gref got into an altercation with taxi drivers in the parking lot near the Gorno-Altaisk airport.
The main character of the video, dressed in a blue polo shirt and blue jeans, addresses the taxi drivers with the words: “Why are you standing here in shorts? Everyone has gathered. Who are you? There needs to be a separate place for taxi drivers.”
After that, he tells one of the drivers to remove the car. The taxi driver, perplexed, replies: “Where should we stand?” Gref calls the drivers gathered around him a “gang” and several times makes comments about their appearance.
“And you won’t work here anymore! <…> You open your mouth again and you will never be here again. Understood? <…> Friends, if you gather here like this again, there will be no one here anymore,” says the main character of the video.
When one of the taxi drivers asks the critic to introduce himself, he says: “I am the owner of this airport. And who are you? What's your last name? My last name is Gref.”
It is unknown when exactly the video was filmed. Sber became the owner of 100% of the shares of Gorno-Altaisk airport in April 2024. The head of the bank, German Gref, then promised to build “virtually a new airport” in Gorno-Altaisk.
