TOKYO, June 11 The line of guests arriving at the reception in honor of the Russian national holiday and those who wished to personally greet Russian Ambassador Nikolai Nozdrev, lined up from the very entrance to the building and occupied the foyer and the entire staircase to the second floor, the correspondent reports.
More than 50 heads of foreign embassies in Japan and more than 350 guests came to celebrate Russia Day at the diplomatic mission in Tokyo.
Among the guests, the correspondent noticed former Prime Minister of Japan Yukio Hatoyama, member of parliament Muneo Suzuki, as well as famous public figures, journalists, representatives of culture and sports.
Last year the celebration was attended by 37 heads of embassies and 300 guests.
