In 2024, Russian farmers can count on significant government support, as the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation plans to allocate about 15 billion rubles for targeted measures. This announcement was made after a meeting between the Minister of Agriculture Oksana Lut and Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Alexei Gordeev, where the prospects for the development of farming and cooperation were discussed.
In addition to financial support, the Ministry of Agriculture focused on competence centers in the regions that help farmers with various aspects of their business. These centers provide assistance with paperwork, reporting and advice on the organization and management of farming.
The meeting also discussed issues of lawmaking in the field of supporting small businesses. One of the key points put forward by the Deputy Chairman of the State Duma is the development of agricultural consumer cooperatives. This area will receive special attention from the State Duma Committee on Agrarian Issues, he said.
It should be noted that in addition to targeted government support, farmers also have access to various grants, preferential loans and other measures to promote the development and sustainability of farms .
