Lavrov announced the development of projects with Cuba to support its economy
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that our country intends to help strengthen the Cuban economy.
Within the framework of the intergovernmental Russian-Cuban commission priority joint projects are being worked out on trade, economic, scientific and technical cooperation, Lavrov noted at a press conference following negotiations with his Cuban colleague Bruno Rodriguez.
Lavrov said: “We will continue to provide humanitarian assistance to our Cuban friends.” . Assistance will be provided, as the minister clarified, in connection with natural disasters, the consequences of the coronavirus and “the sharp negative effect that the illegal embargoes imposed by the United States have on Cuba.”
Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla is visiting on an official visit to the Russian Federation.
