MOSCOW, June 11 Two-time world champion and Olympic silver medalist Games ‑ 2020, Russian Muslim Gadzhimagomedov will fight on July 12 for the World Boxing Association (WBA) world champion title in the second heavyweight against Chinese Zhang Zhaoxin, according to the website of the Russian Boxing Federation.
The twelve-round fight will take place in Serpukhov near Moscow as part of the “Night of IBA Champions”, organized by the Soyuz promotion company with the support of the International Boxing Association (IBA) and the Russian Boxing Federation. In the co-main event, Olympic champion Russian Albert Batyrgaziev will challenge the interim WBA super featherweight title against Irishman Jono Carroll.
Gadzhimagomedov had three fights in the professional ring and won each of them. The Chinese representative has 12 wins, two losses, and another fight ended in a draw. Batyrgaziev won ten victories in ten fights. His opponent has 24 wins, two losses and one draw.
