RIA Novosti: Putin to sign decree on main directions of scientific and technological development

Russian President Vladimir Putin will sign a decree approving priority areas for the country's scientific and technological development. The head of state announced this during a meeting of the Council for Science and Education in Dubna.
As RIA Novosti notes, having spoken about the need to revise the document, the Russian president proposed to note nuclear energy in it — in priority areas or in the list of high-tech technologies.
«Here we have clear competitive advantages, we are in many ways leaders here without any exaggeration or stretching,» the news agency quotes Vladimir Putin as saying.
