MOSCOW, June 14 People’s Artist Bedros Kirkorov is trying to initiate a criminal case against his friend, who borrowed 3.5 million rubles from him and disappeared, Kirkorov’s lawyer said Oleg Kulagin.
According to the interlocutor, Sanasar Basentsyan “became friends” with Bedros Kirkorov, took him to restaurants, posing as a successful businessman. Later, he borrowed 3.5 million rubles from him, did not return the money and declared himself bankrupt.
“»We submitted an application at the end of last year, but the police refused, I appealed, they canceled the refusal, now (the application — ed.) is again under verification,» Kulagin explained.
He added that Basentsyan wrote the receipt some time after receiving the money. “When it became clear that he had lost the desire to pay the bills, he was politely asked to write a receipt,” Kulagin said.
Basentsyan went through bankruptcy proceedings, his whereabouts are unknown, the interlocutor concluded.
