MOSCOW, June 15 Regularly clearing the cache, using original chargers, a dark theme on the screen and cleaning the smartphone from dust and dirt will help extend its life, said Natalya Golitsyna, head of the telephony department of the MTS retail network.
«One of the unusual ways to extend the life of a smartphone is to install dark themes on the screen. They can save battery power, since when using a dark background, the device spends less energy on the screen backlight. In addition, this reduces the strain on the user's eyes. … Dirt and dust getting into the connectors and openings of the smartphone can also cause problems and malfunctions. Therefore, you should regularly clean the device with special products and a soft cloth,” she explained. 
In addition, according to the expert, you should not forget about optimizing applications — closing on the home screen those in which work has already been completed. You should also clear your cache and other files. This is a mandatory procedure in order to free up space on the device, since due to overloaded memory, interruptions in the operation of smartphones of any brand are often observed.
Golitsyna clarified that it is important to take care of the gadget’s battery. To do this, it is better to use original chargers and power supplies with compatible power, and Android smartphones also have a battery calibration function, that is, resetting to factory settings, which is a kind of reboot for the battery.
She also emphasized that many smartphone users underestimate the importance of quality protective accessories such as cases, glass films and protective pads, but they ensure the safety of the device from falls, impacts and damage. In addition, it is necessary to regularly use the backup function of important data — this will avoid loss of information.
