While Europe was building wind turbines, Russia bet on nuclear power — and won
The bet of Western countries on “green” energy did not work, and the last 25 years for Europe and the United States in this sense turned out to be infertile. Nuclear scientists told Vladimir Putin about this at the state awards ceremony in the Kremlin. Meanwhile, Russia relied on peaceful nuclear energy and received excellent results. Nuclear energy may well be environmentally friendly, scientists have proven.
The 2023 Russian State Prize in Science and Technology was awarded to Mikhail Kovalchuk, President of the Kurchatov Institute National Research Center, Yevgeny Adamov, former Minister of Atomic Energy of Russia, and Vladimir Asmolov, Advisor to the Head of Rosatom.
They were awarded the prize for a series of fundamental and applied research, development, and experimental-technological works that made an outstanding contribution to the development of scientific and technical foundations, substantiation, and implementation of the strategy for the two-component development of nuclear energy in the Russian Federation.

Evgeny Adamov demonstrated in numbers how failed the experiment with “green” food was. energy in the West. And how successful was the “atomic” one? the path chosen by Russia.
“You are involved in the work for which you are rewarding us,” Adamov told the president, referring to his idea to expand the use of peaceful nuclear technologies in the country. — In the USA and Europe this initiative is remembered with sadness. These 25 years were fruitless for them. They hit the wind, the sun (in the construction of wind and solar power plants. «MK»). Especially in Germany, which you know well. They passed a law to close nuclear power plants. 15 years have passed. The Germans were promised that if at that time a kilowatt of energy cost 11 eurocents, it would cost 6 eurocents. Now a kilowatt in Europe costs 33 eurocents…
