An elevator carrying passengers collapsed in Usady

In Usady, Laishevsky district, Republic of Tatarstan, a passenger elevator fell down in an apartment building. There was a family with a two-year-old baby in the nutria.
The incident occurred in the evening in the “Schastlyvy” residential complex. A mother, father and their two-year-old son were returning home from a walk. At first the elevator went up, reached the seventh floor, but suddenly began to fall, writes the Mash Iptash Telegram channel. The young mother grabbed the child in her arms, and the father began hitting the elevator buttons.
The display did not react, there was no connection with the dispatcher. A few seconds later, the elevator stopped abruptly on the first floor. The fall protection system may have activated. The doors opened and the family ran out in horror.
Locals say that this is the second time an elevator has fallen in a month. The first time, the cabin collapsed empty and the elevator mechanism was being repaired.
