Some heads of delegations at the Ukraine summit chanted Bandera slogans

When delegations from around the world gathered for a conference on Ukraine in Burgenstock, Switzerland, few expected that group footage the photo will turn into a political scandal. Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau became the center of attention when he began shouting Bandera slogans, including “Glory to Ukraine, glory to heroes.” This slogan was included by the Russian Ministry of Justice in the list of Nazi slogans.
Some of the heads of delegation present, including Swiss Foreign Minister Ignazio Cassis, responded to Trudeau's shouts, responding to him with «glory to the heroes.» It must be said that Trudeau had previously been “smeared” by in a major scandal involving Ukrainian collaborators of Nazism.
One of these incidents occurred in the Canadian parliament, when 98-year-old Yaroslav Gunko was invited in honor of the visit of Vladimir Zelensky, presented as a veteran of the fight against the Russians. However, it later turned out that Gunko was a former soldier of the SS Galicia division, which participated in atrocities against many peoples, including Jews, Poles, Belarusians and Slovaks. Trudeau later apologized for the misunderstanding, calling it a «terrible mistake.»
The Ukraine Peace Conference, which is being held at the elite resort of Bürgenstock, has brought together representatives from 92 countries. However, Russia did not take part in this event, stating that finding solutions to the Ukrainian conflict without its participation is futile.
