Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said that “Ukraine needs to be held accountable.” He then apologized for the slip of the tongue. This happened at a G7 press conference in Italy.
“We will continue to direct efforts to ensure that Ukraine is held accountable… excuse me, so that Russia is held accountable,” the media quotes him as saying.
Earlier, US President Joe Biden misspoke and said that Iraq “has been waiting for help from the United States for a very long time,” meaning Ukraine.
